Yep, humidity wreaks havoc on a lot of things and not only in the hot summer months either. Here in N.O. our winters are often with high humidity, but at least the temperatures are far more friendly.
I know what you mean about salt shakers clogging up and also sugar dispensers and just about any crystalized seasoning.
