Singed by & worn by Michael Jordan? Figured someone who posts here picked them up earlier today.

quote:

A pair of beat up Size 13 sneakers Jordan wore during the gold-medal game between the United States and Spain at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles sold for a whopping $190,373.80 on Sunday.

That set a new auction record paid for game-used shoes, ESPN reports. Bidding started at $10,000.

Anyone that spends that amount of money on shoes with writing on them from another human being other than Jesus should be pummeled with extreme prejudice.

It's all relative. The person who bought them probably has a bank account that $190k is a drop in the bucket.

If I could get those shoes at a price where I wouldn't even notice the money missing from my bank account, sure, I'd buy them.

And if that person sells them for a profit in 10 years?

Then they're still an a-hole, just a richer one.

ETA: they'll lose value when MJ is no longer the GOAT and LeBron is (this should be fun).

Do the shoes come with a bj from an OT10?

Because the answer is still no.

They could just choose not to bring a loved one back from the dead and they would be able to buy these shoes no problem with their $20 million

$190k is what percentage of that person's income?

Probably less than a Yeti for the OP.

It would be fun if it were remotely legitimate.

Yes, but only because they are in my size, and I need some new boat shoes.
