So let me see if I got this straight:
Jane went with MIL to MIL's doc, Dr. Jones.
Jane sees Dr. Smith, another doc who is a colleague of Dr. Jones.
Dr. Jones, who doesn't treat Jane, asks Jane about her "personal medical condition" in front of MIL.
Only way Dr. Jones could've found out that info is from Dr. Smith, Jane's doc.
Dr. Jones shouldn't have said anything in front of MIL without consent of Jane.
Dr. Smith shouldn't be discussing Jane's case with Dr. Jones.
Something like that?

Tell your friend to get some antibiotics for the swollen vagina and an ice pack for the butt hurt. Take advil as needed for pain.
Send me 85.00 for the consulting fee.

This was the mil doctor only. My friend was never treated by this doc . My friends doc is located in another town.
Wtf your story doesn't make any sense.
How bad is this secret medical condition? It has to be something sexual related by the way everyone reacted.
Did this doctor knock up your friend and she had an abortion.. or he gave her an STD. That makes the most sense from this shitty story.

Was she in need of a "Cure" for her ailment?

Did he blurt out personal info AFTER he was called out? He'd have to then go to her chart and find that info ...
The doc already had an attitude. Because he already knew about the problem with mil prescription. My friend said the doc blurted it out after he realized the prescription was his error

Either your friend or the doc, but someone is crazy in this story.

Is recording the phone conversation with the secretary legal???
If this was in Louisiana, yes. LA is a one party consent state.
Eta. Corrected bc I thought it said illegal at first.

Just tell us the medical condition. It's not like anyone knows this friend.
Oh, and pics of the friend would be helpful as well.

not sure how its a hippa violation if a doctor tells the patient about their own condition lol. The other doc could have consulted with that dr about the issue. no big deal, no violation
The doc was the mother in laws doc only. My friend only goes with mil because she is elderly. Friend has never been treated by this doc

I corrected bc I misread what you wrote. It's legal to record conversations in LA as long as one party speaking consents to the recording. Your friend consented so it's legal.
