Dedicated tax on something in this state means that the legislature will back door money away from what the taxpayers need and waste it somewhere else.

But of the 60 million; 20 million went to ports and then he is talking about spending money on passenger railroads.
It's a good start, but that doesn't mean they aren't using transportation money on just roads and bridges; nor does it mean that after the tax is passed they won't change their minds and spend it in other ways.

There is zero chance an addtl tax will be used to better my standard of living. It will be done to buy votes for the political party in power at that time. Either thru govt welfare to the poor or the powerful. It is what our political system has become and will remain.
