So, McClellan certainly had issues and was not the right man for the job of destroying the Army of Northern Virginia. He simply didn’t have a heart in it. He didn’t want to risk breaking what he had put together.
But he was extremely skilled at organizing the union army into the professional fighting force it was. By all accounts, he did a great job of that. Had he not, the Army of the Potomac would have faced significantly greater issues going forward.
Also, he does have victories under his command whatever you want to attribute it to. Malvern Hill, Antietam, and South Mountain.

Grant figured out how to beat Lee when no one else could.
He also was victorious across three campaigns and forced the surrender of three armies. He's frankly an underrated general given his reputation. His work on the Western Campaign is also underrated, in my view.

If it wasn’t for Bragg’s incompetence following Chickamauga the West was lost.

This is most definitely true. McClellan organized the army into a fighting force.
His problem was he overestimated the number of rebel divisions, saying that on the eve of Antietam the rebel army numbered more than 100,000. He also waited 18 hours after his men discovered Lee's marching orders.
Union generals before Grant were generally too cautious.

The point is human bodies don’t matter if you win

That was your point?

Bragg was incompetent before Chickamauga, arguably. He as outmaneuvered by Rosecrans, and then was routed by Grant. History hasn't been kind to Bragg either. Maybe he was more able than he let on, but his record isn't sterling.

I guess you’ve never heard of a Pyrrhic victory.
In any case, Chosin was not a victory for the United States military. And if it was not for the 1st Marine division holding off the Chinese all the way to the sea, the entire corps could’ve been annihilated there.
