I am convinced that the Baton Rouge bridge is the Bermuda Triangle of highways.

Speeding drivers is the least of the traffic problems in BR.

Phoenix I-10 from the 60 split in Tempe, through downtown, all the way out to Goodyear.

There is always a wreck, a stalled semi, and a construction zone. You have to mute Waze in that area or it just chirps non stop.

Let's separate traffic from road bed conditions.

Traffic: Baton Rouge can tie with LA (Santa Monika into the city). BR doesn't have as many people to screw with, but seems to trap a larger % of total population on their stretch of I-10.

Houston has poured so much money into providing alternatives to I-10, that they currently aren't terrible.

Worst road bed: I-10 in west Texas. They built it wrong. I've been through there several times and it's like driving on corduroy. Not heavy traffic, but exhausting. Several times, I've seen 18 wheeler and locally licensed vehicles all driving on the pull over zone because it's smooth.
But, that's not fair because Louisiana can compete when I-10 goes through the swamps and the road there gets corduroy.

Summany: NEED an I_10 alternate, that goes through no where, but gets there smoothly.
