All of my tats are on my arms. The worst pain I've felt was on the inside of my upper arm right below the arm pit area. That's a tender spot for sure.

You heard wrong. The ribs don't really hurt. I have a tat on each side of my ribs. Spine sucks, but foot probably hurts the most.
