I was lucky - I was born in '38, the year that the economic outlook began to improve.
One of my former partners is also a ‘38 model.

“Determined” should have been his middle name.

OP: The Civil War easily had the most total tragedy for American families. The moral crusade of freeing slaves was paid for by the families the North and extracted from the Southern white population attempting to keep the status quo.

The border States folks got fricked too. The settlement where one of my ancestor’s family farm is located changed “hands” over 40 times during the Civil War. Each time was a new challenge to try to keep property and to remain safe.

liked America post Civil War until 2008.

Including the mid-70s to mid-90s which was the peak of our post Industrialization pathology society?

Our country and society were much worse then than the Obama era (or the GWB era, or either Trump era, or Biden admin even with the post Covid crime spike)

How could the answer be anything other than the Civil War?

People on Twitter tell us that we should feel bad for being white. These days are worse than the Civil War by a factor of at least 5.

Obama's first term was manageable.. his 2nd term is when the wheels fell off America.

Usually with commies, their first go around they are somewhat kind of moderate but after they win their 2nd election is when they show their true colors.. in this case, not his skin color but his cock loving color

There were many wives and children whose husband/ father left for the war and never came back. No letter from the government, no military funeral. They just did not come back and they were all dead. No closure. The men who did survive and returned to the town were asked by many families if they know what happened to there husbands and father's. Very little information was available. Now their fields lay barren, with no men to work them. Winter's coming and not much left in the food stores. Now, tell me how Woke-ism (which is starting to be reversed) is worth than this.
