so you were 3 hours late for a job interview and you think the toddler snot on your jacket and bubble guts with mustard gas caused you not to get the job

The interview was around eleven in the morning

So I show up at the office at around 2

Even if this were true, I have so many questions:

1.) Did the OP have a better excuse than Beowulf? If not, I would have ended the interview there.

2.) Was the OP trying to show how unreliable he is? He must have left for an 11 am interview AT 11 am when he was 2.5 hours away and that STILL means he spent 30 mins at Jack in the Box for it to take 3 hrs.

3.) Who the frick can’t get up and leave at 8 am knowing you have a job interview even if you have to see fricking Beowulf?

4.) Why in the frick do you think this was “worth the read”?

5.)

This happened to my friend from graduate school. He drove to Dallas for a job interview. Goes to some office building in downtown and up to the 5th floor. He finds the room he is looking for and opens a door and walks in. There was another potential candidate sitting in a chair talking to two people inside. They all stop talking and awkwardly stare at him. My friend apparently walked in during the middle of his interview. So my buddy turned around and sat in the nearby waiting area. When it was finally my friend’s turn he walked back into the same room and one of the older guys said “apparently you don’t know how to follow directions.” My buddy quickly snapped back “apparently you don’t know how to write directions. It says to come to this room at this time on this letter.” My buddy throws the letter down on the table. He was asked only one question for his interview and then was told the interview is over. He did not get the job.

So besides being a 100% frickup you had an 11 am interview & you got there at 2pm because your gay lover was in a play the night before

I once had a guy have his lunch brought to him during our interview. He ate in front of me and offered me nothing. He seemed shocked when I turned the job down.

I've only interviewed for 4 jobs and was offered the job on all 4. But one of the interviews was in front of about 10 people which was really nerve wracking being grilled by them
