Hey, I am in my 40's and barely workout. My external Abdominal obliques, internal abdominal obliques and transversus abdominuns are ripped, along with the rest of my body. My six pack area is flat but it's not a six pack. I first stated its mostly all genetic, and my six pack area isn't blessed with good genes. I could obtain a six pack but don't want to put in that much work. I like to eat, drink and smoke.

So what's a typical breakfast for you sabi?
3 eggs with liquid eggs added in, 3 strip of centercut bacon, a bowl of steelcut oats with honey, cinnamon, and fruit, and some Ezekiel bread with some almond butter.
ETA: this morning I had some turkey sausage mixed with my eggs

I love these threads
5' 11, 169, 32
I'm dieting at 1700 cals, 5-6 days a week. 1900-2100 the other two. I've lost 13 lbs since Jan 1. I lost much of it at around 1800, but I hit a plateau at 8 lbs down as my metabolism adjusted, so I changed up my training a bit and lowered my calories slightly.

You're kind of lean, eh? How much more weight do you want to lose?

What your doing is carb cut off points and its been used successfully for a while in the body building world and daunte trudel the creator of doggcrapp training (DC training) uses it in his system and on his clients very very successfully.
There are no studies to show they work or why but i will say they work for most people, but most have to do much earlier than 4pm. Im not 100% sure why carb cutoffs work but i have a theory and i believe it will be proven correct once they do perform a study on it.

To the op, eat less than your maintenance, simple as that. If you want some good reading and want to educate yourself some go read lean gains and search my pay on intermittent fasting on this board and go to my google drive i linked and read some of the info there.
As far as what i am doing, i am doing lyle mcdonald's rapid fatloss handbook, but i dint suggest others try a diet this strict and crazy low calories.

I love all the old guys making excuses to you about why they can't get ripped all the while assuming you are some skinny fat college kid.
I guess you should tell them you are older and are ripped.

Thank you for chiming in. It's crazy how it works for me. I'm going to try intermittent fasting one day, but I'm going to give this a try.

I read Lyle regularly. Really bright dude, although his know it all approach can be too much sometimes.

Lyle personally is a douchebag, but his books are good and diets work. His workout programs suck though imo.
