I usually answer a "how are you doing"? With a "she's gone! She left me and took the kids" then some fake emotional breakdown.

Remember when Norm would make his entrance into the bar on "Cheers" and would always have a comeback to the opening question?

Example-

Q: "Hey Norm, how's the world been treating you?"
Norm: "Like a baby treats a diaper."

I can honestly say I had never heard it before. I mentioned it to my wife and she said that her dad used to say it all the time. He's a smart-assed Vietnam vet who pretty much says exactly what is on his mind with no filter.
