Cool. I am throwing a torch lit party in the storm drain under Picardy Avenue if you want to come on down. There might be some kind of poon tang down there if is your style.

Pretty much everyone who works where I do has to pass it on airline. No it isn't technically N. Baton Rouge, but with the way "protesters" like to obstruct traffic and other threats (real or fake), they thought it best to shut it down.

Loader? Shipper?

Inside sales. Only guy in there for my particular expertise.

I have a laptop so I'll be checking on things and taking care of my customers, but typically Friday's are pretty dead anyways.

From what I've read and what I've been told, there were people all over facebook, other social media, etc, making threats to form organized groups and loot specific areas.

Whether those claims are fake or not, I have no idea. Could be just media bullshite, but being located where we were and some of our higher ups being in contact with law enforcement, they decided to err on the side of caution and just shut it down.

I drove by the headquarters this morning and the media was taking all the space setting up those tents.

Where will the BLM setup if the media takes up all the room?

Airline Highway?

I have no idea. I don't think shite is going to hit the fan like most of the rumors going around speculate. But it doesn't hurt a business located in the area to take precaution for its employees.

I don't do troll threads. Work is legit closed tomorrow. Corporate thought it best not to take any unnecessary risks regardless of whether or not they thought the threats were jokes. And yes, company will be paying us.

Unless y'all are located directly across the street from where it happened - I'm embarrassed that your company is so weak. Someone in Corp watches too much TV.

Just had a meeting, and my place of employment will be closed tomorrow and corporate has sent security (from a security company obviously) for 24/7 watch until further notice. Work in North Baton Rouge, Industrial Sales and we have several warehouses loaded with inventory. Will be interesting to see if all these threats are real or fake. Either way, I get a day off. Anyone else joining the party?

Congrats on the day off but your company buckled down and is giving these people the attention they want.

Maybe you and a few of your coworkers could get together and serve plate lunches to the peaceful protesters. Give the proceeds to the victims family. I think they would appreciate the kindness.

Careful with those menu choices...
