Don't put that blunder on Lacassine. Iowa is much more deserving for owning that black eye.

Gotcha.

that has nothing to do with being supported. That was about Hamsi building it and just assuming Lacassine would just give him water without speaking to anyone at all. When the town said...yea you can pay for water...it stopped the project.

They gotta be trolling people now. No way I would trust getting up on those tall slides unless they tore it down and rebuilt.

And I’d probably want it to be a different outfit as well.

Well I think that was part of it. IIRC, he just built it without any approval/oversight and I'm not sure they passed basic safety inspections. The water thing was just the headshot.

Now, would it shock me to learn that a rural parish like JDP and a rural city like Lacassine didn't communicate properly? No, but that's what you get when you try to hoodwink a rural area thinking you'll have fewer regulations to worry about. Eventually you find out they have the same regulations as everyone else

Yet this was planned a few years ago but Tellurian phucked up financially then bought by Woodside. It would have been announced under JBE if the finance phuck up had not of occurred

South Louisiana has the a great industrial base, a low costs of living, a massive pipeline network, deep water access, and cheap natural gas. We are pretty good at attracting industrial business (with the feedback loop of supporting businesses) that look for those things.

The Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Lake Charles area especially have a very admirable industrial base.

I wish we could build that into a bigger white collar employer network with more corporate HQs.

True...but the area along the river between NOLA and Baton Rouge is quite robust.
