Elaborate on this if you will. I live in Baton Rouge and am curious as to what the differences are.

Your water works. Your libraries didn't literally fall apart because of no maintenance. Two libraries have been torn down in Jackson because the city literally did not maintain them. Never fixed roofs, water damage, then mold destroyed them. Can't make it up. Your auditorium isn't shut down. The Jackson zoo barely works and was shut down for a year. Sewage hasn't been flowing through the streets as it did in Jackson. Do I need to keep going?

They should move what they can over to the Brandon Amphitheater - went there for the first time a few weeks ago. That place was Top-Notch!

Cant have ballet and symphony there because of chance of rain.

There is also the matter of acoustics

I agree - that is why I stated:

I know that everything can't be transferred to an outdoor venue from an indoor venue - but some could

Brandon has looked at the arts before. However, those two factors are why you don't see such events there.

We literally had a new library almost declared unusable due to a design defect. And to listen to the current administration, having a first class zoo is a top priority, damn the cost ! But I get your point. I hope we don’t get to Jackson’s level but who knows.
