Women's obsession with social media celebs

So the gf for some time now spends quite a bit of time watching snapchats / instagram posts / youtube videos of these wannabe celebs that think because they post every third second of their lives they are somehow worth watching. (These are not actors, talented or famous ppl in any way, not even Kardashians.)
She has tried to get me to watch some of these vids with her lately, so its getting to where I cant hold my tongue anymore.
Have any of you had discussions with your lady of why they should focus on living / improving their own lives instead of watching this pseudo reality crap?

In this case I'd say that's not really true. Sounds like she is not only following something worthless, but cultivating her interest. Women who get off on that stuff become just like that shite.

Some of them are young women who give makeup tips on snapchat. Some of them are random ppl who do nothing but comment on youtube / vine videos.
The worst are the these few young families that literally film their entire existence and edit / upload to youtube. It's like their entire life is an amateur reality show. It makes me feel really uncomfortable for their young kids forced into this nonsense.

I'd day it gives young women the wrong idea of what it's like to live life in the workforce and in the family. Everyone is different, watching some random person and trying to be like them isn't healthy.

My wife watches some bravo shows but she basically talks shite about them the whole time. You could use the argument of "why support their show by watching then?" But it's a woman thing and not harming anything.

Her watching them is bad if it takes away time the two of you could be spending building a boat or go-kart together. (Just examples)
Her asking you to watch them brings a pain to you which is easily avoidable. In order for you to be able to tolerate them, there needs to be a payoff of some kind for you as well as her.
I suggest that you tell her that watching these videos makes you horny as hell, requiring that you PIIHB, or get an angry beej at a minimum.
