Are they legal or not? If legal, wtf is wrong with that? How much older than legal would you require them to be?

What a little bitch.

Not okay at all IMO. When or it something does go wrong you can barely hold the kid accountable since you have already shown you were okay with the actions. My parents were divorced at a young age my mom was the "cool" mom and my dad wasn't really strict but I knew my boundaries and that anything illegal he did not support. I ended up really sick one night at my moms from drinking and saw the disappointment in my dad and quickly realized which parent was looking out for my best interest.

That's hot.

And the key word there is "legal".

We live in a country where an 18 year old can be forced to join the military and go to war. But when he returns back a war hero, he's forced to wait til he's 21 to legally drink.

This. I see no issue with letting your kid have a drink or three, assuming by barely legal, OP means between 18-20.

There's not enough pictures of barely legal daughters in this thread. Some you guys need to get your shite together and start posting pics of your barely legal daughters.

I'm a disappoint son. I can remember people doing this in high school but I never even though about it. I would have been too embarrassed to come home drunk in front of my family.

I have mixed feelings on this issue. I can't stand the idea that someone can die for their country and not drink for their country, but in that same breath I have met my fair share of young people from other countries and our 18 year olds can't hold a candle to their maturity or decision making skills. I do still think it should be legal at 18 though.

So a mother taking out her 18 year old daughter for drinks?

Nothing wrong with it.

Now a mother take her daughter out for drinks at a club and picking up men is the stuff that pornos are made of.

I didn't have to come home, I was home. My moms house had a 2100 sqft "guest house" that she basically bribed me to come live with her by letting me live in it with no hawk watching over me. So I was there when I got hammered with a bunch of shite she bought us for the long weekend that they were out of town for. I had a few people over and we got wasted out of our minds. One of the guys lived down the street and went home to grab something and passed out so she called my dad to check on me and I was in the bathroom when he found me. Never got in a lot of trouble but my dad had ways of making me feel like shite without having to say a word.

So you got the look instead of the stern talking-to. I think the look was worse than the lecture. I'm surprised your dad didn't kick you mom's arse. Parent's shouldn't be buying their kids alcohol.

Reminds me of when I was in college and freshman sorority girls would bring their mom to a party. Tacky, in my opinion

Why do you care what other people do when it has literally zero I act on your life? Get off your cloud of judgment.

So, because you made a poor decision you've decided to paint everyone with the same broad brush?

Ok...
