take away EBT and poof! All of the money the stores are making all of a sudden disappears.
Sure.
Umm did he say that? He said they would take a huge hit. If you can't see that you are a dolt? Of course the people on food stamps will still have to eat and those who can somehow scrape together what little change they have will spend very little at these places. Therefore a huge hit to them and if you think the Walmarts of the world are going to just absorb that hit you are a fool. It will be passed on to the consumer.

the bottom lines of grocery stores and walmarts in poor areas would take a nose dive. sure, people would still buy food, but they would buy much less and be more utilitarian in their purchases.

what if I'm hurt and can't ride my bike and the nice guy st my church allowed me to borrow his car so I can go to Walmart and spend some of my SNAP benifits for me and my 2 year old to eat for the next week? I mean he pays a ton of taxs and and knows he is paying taxs towards helping feed me but he still lets me borrow his Tahoe out of the goodness of his heart..... But then you not knowing anything about me would stand out in the parking lot and judge me not knowing I have been riding a bike to that store every week for the past 3 months?
Well played sir.

Oh wait I thought $500 was heavily impactful to poor people's spending habits? Flippin the script now I see. This statement says it all about all of your arguments. Congrats!

You should be shamed for your spelling. Welfare for food is a drop in the bucket compared to the MIC or corporate welfare. I'd rather people eat rather than have me pay for technology used for murdering people or to help corporations keep stealing money.

what really grinds my gears is people use religion in terms of laws and to get things they don't like repealed. Yet two things they never pay attention to....
Matthew 7:1 Do not judge, or you will be judged. For with the same judgment you pronounce, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.…
Not our place to judge others for their actions unless you are an officer of the law or court or maybe media
Matthew 19:24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.
--take it how you will.
But you can't in good faith call yourself a Christian and then be fine with the way this lady treated that man with his kid.
Book Of OT 3:16 - those who dwell in single wide trailers need to not be talking about shaming anyone.

Exactly why I'd rather reserve judgment and possibly seek the truth than to just lay blanket statements and judge something I know nothing about.
In my last scenerio, who's to say the guy needs people in the parking lot giving him even more shite when he is already embarrassed about his current lot.
Let's tackle entitlements, but let's start with the people that 'fleece' and strong arm us of our taxs in the first place, not at the hi nabor checkout line.

The eye of a needle was a gate in Israel. Camels could get through but it was tricky.

It's in Florida. What a surprise
On topic - that woman is a bitch and I hope this has a very negative impact on her life

I think $.06 out of every tax dollar goes to welfare benefits. $.24 goes to corporate welfare. $.39 to the military.
On my list of upset outrages the welfare schemes are tiny. I'm more upset about the empty $300M buildings in Iraq that were built in no bid contracts with our money

that's what rich people tell their kids so they don't feel bad.

It. So in the Koran, 'The impious, who in his arrogance shall accuse our doctrine of falsity, shall find the gates of heaven shut; nor shall he enter till a camel shall pass through the eye of a needle.' It was a common mode of expression among the Jews to declare any thing that was rare or difficult.

If that's the case than you can't in good faith call yourself a Christian for shaming her.

She is the one causing the scene and blindly judging someone!!
No one is blindly judging anything about her, they are saying she is a judgemental prick with a big mouth. They are basing the statement with EVIDENCE.
