Pretty sure something like this happened at the old Don’s restaurant in downtown Lafayette, back in the late 70’s or early 80’s. Somebody got served bleach in a water glass.

Her post in that picture says “took one swallow of what I thought was my margarita.” That’s an odd way to phrase it…did she accidentally drink something else?

None of this make any sense. If there’s enough “cleaner” in a drink to do that much damage, she would have tasted it and probably not swallowed it. Something ain’t right in Oklahoma.

Oh man, my margarita tastes like bleach…but maybe the 4th sip will taste better…nah.

You would also think several people would have had the same issue at the time, not just one person...

Margaritas are citrusy... industrial cleaners may also be citrusy or unscented. I don't think the cleaner in question was bleach... something with lye if I recall.

Also.. the restaurant admitted this actually happened- its occurrence is not in question.

To the poster who wondered why it only happened to this one lady- someone is always first, this time it was her.

Agreed. But check out my downvotes. Clearly everyone thinks I’m somehow an idiot for asking why she phrased it how she did (which was a weird way to say it). Yet nobody ever addressed their opinions. Go figure.
