That's how the OT looks to me when I'm reading the million threads about quiet quitting, "employer loyalty," and how miserable it is that their employer took away their WFH setup.

Well, youre way behind the times with feminism. The more of a victim you are today the higher youre held in regard. Intersectionality.

Modern waves which came in the internet age brought you the glorious gender neutrality and race histrionics. Its not about women, its not about independence, it's about collective serfdom.

Feminism just replaced marxism as the pseudo religion and created perpetual victimhood. Its no longer about strong independent women, its about categorizing, systemizing the experience and putting people in boxes.

I tend to agree with this. we have gone from survivors to victims. Pretty sure if you survived WW I, Dust Bowl, Great Depression, and WW II you never were the "victim", they were some hardy folks and they just survived and moved on.

collective serfdom.

Well I would call it modern wage slavery but not thinking women caused this. More of the Corporate Monarchy that took hold in the 80's and pits us to fight each other while profiting as average citizens just go deeper in debt.

systemizing the experience and putting people in boxes.

I tend to agree with this as well but believe modern media is driving the bus. In the 1970's you had what 50,000 + news sources in the US alone, and now you are down to about 5 global media drivers who do not want independent free thinkers.

Stems from specialization and mass production. Good for society, shitty for individual humanity. Feminism pushes this shite because it allows women to compete with men and equalizes potential. Credentialism is a cancer.

we aren't created equal, and we need challenges, not comfort.

I am pretty old and up through the 1950's and early 1960's in the US many marriages were "arranged" by parents / grandparents via community interactions such as church or extended family networking.

this has to be one of the OT’s very very unbiased fair moderates, such as EarlyCuyler, taylork37, Zappas Stache, c on z, dawgfan2341, mattzyx, or Bronc.

Is it possible to drown in fairness? I hope they don't all show up at once.

Maybe but I would argue asset ownership. In my long view of life, better to have many local and regional asset ownership than fewer entities many of whom are no longer inside a states boundaries or the US as a whole.

99% of the chips required for modern technology come from China or Taiwan. This was not the case just a generation ago. Monopolies are never good for the citizens and certainly not if they are outside the USA.

Big 3 US automaker has been replaced by the Big 3 global

Seven Sisters of US oil has been replaced by Seven Sisters of global oil

If you have a cell phone 98% are either Apple or Android (Google) systems

Banks could not cross county lines, then they moved to state lines. This led to regional banking which became national banking. Now it is global banking with just a few firms commanding the majority of the business.

Local and regional news has been replaced by a handful of News sources controlled by the far left and far right and more concerned with getting clicks than actually reporting the news with honest objectivity.

it is, check out the Andrew Tate thread earlier this AM. It was like someone turned on the “moderate” bat signal. They know more about Andrew Tate than any one poster on the OT, yet claim everyone here but them are devoted followers.

I would agree with this statement from around WW I through the 70's. Most of the Feminist I know personally from that era are VERY upset at what has become "modern" feminism and has little or no bearing on the original suffragettes.

I marched for women and blacks back in the day and most of what is out there today has nothing to do with the actual history of the struggles and desires of these folks originally.

Its not even the same movement. It was coopted by men who dress like women. Women realized they needed allies and sold their soul to hard core marxism.

Partially, but would expand to the whole alphabet soup. They have changed it from equality to lifestyle and gone from survivors to victims. We need more moderates to take back our county (they ARE the majority) but with the far left and far right driving the media space we will probably destroy ourselves first.

Precisely.

They went from "I am Woman, hear me roar" to "I'm Woman, I cant roar because I'm oppressed."
