With the constant talk about pot legalization, what about gambling?

Why doesn't anyone knight for this noble cause? I think it's ridiculous that it's (for the most part) illegal.

Gambling is legal

I would love to get behind a push to make sports betting legal in all 50 states.

They need to keep weed the way it is but legalize hookers and sports betting.

I've got 2 casino resorts right down the street from my house. Tell me again how gambling is illegal.

I've never really understood how Louisiana is all good with land based casinos and all, but it won't legalize sports betting or even daily fantasy football, for that matter.

I think sports betting should be legal.
I am fine with casinos grew up with them around.

No one ever accused Louisiana lawmakers of being logical

New Jersey lost a battle in court the other day. Im sure they will file an appeal. Im sure the NFL and NCAA are lobbying against it but in the future it will be legalized.

How often do you hear about someone getting their door kicked in, arrested and sentenced to prison for gambling? There's your answer. For the record, I don't smoke pot or gamble.

Should also be legal, ill take it 1 step further actually,
The state should open casino type places where residents can go and trade in their welfare, food stamps and other assistance for credits at the casino. Whatever they win will be placed back on their cards, if they lose it, it goes back to the state.
Talk about saving taxpayers a boatload of money, these places would be packed on the first and the 15 of every month with a bunch of people playing slots and single roll craps bets.
Only downside to this of course is the welfare system ultimately operates to keep these people of sight and out of mind, if they lost all their assistance they would probably just rob people to eat instead of actually working and being a functional contributing memeber of society.
