Will the Oakland Athletics ever make their logo grammatically correct?

A's implies possessive....not plural.

It is correct. The "A's" points to the family name of the original owners

That is correct. Also if the name of the team was written as "As", it would just look like the word "as" capitalized.

It is correct to use an apostrophe to make abbreviations plural. The rampant misuse of apostrophes on this board is very annoying, though.

To make single letters plural, it's correct to use an apostrophe s for that. Just saying.
