Keep this ball rolling until next year’s ceremony where viewership will go up exponentially.

If the dude was truly sincere he would have made a public apologize a day or two have it happened.

At this point, I am sure Chris Rock and everyone else has something in common, who gives a frick?

When a defining moment comes along, you either define the moment, or the moment defines you.

I think he's sincere. I also think Jada is bad for him. I think maybe we made too big a deal out of this? One moment of rage that ends in a slap...does that define him? On the flip side, can anyone imagine the reaction if it was Denzel? Or Leo? Or Hanks? Will Smith was the wholesome all-american who reached the highest levels of success, popularity, and stardom. I think that's why it caused such a reaction

The problem is that it propagates the angry black man resorts to violence stereotype. Whether or not it's a big deal to you is one thing, but I believe there are a lot of black people out there, who have been working hard against that stereotype, that were really disappointed by it. That's why I don't think it was staged, that's the LAST thing black people wanted to see - especially since it was the first Oscars ceremony to be mainly produced by black people.

It was a real black eye.
