Any baws work in body repair? Had a guy turn left in front of me today thinking a flashing yellow arrow meant he was okay to go. Was able to avoid t-boning him but still clipped him pretty good. Can attest that air bags leave you pretty bruised and sore.

Anyway, doesn't look like any engine damage. None to the wheels, either. All the airbags, except side passenger bags, blew out. Wondering if this looks like it'll be totaled or repaired?

Pretty sure insurance is going to say car is totaled when airbags deploy.

Not sure. Insurance company's issue to worry about. I'm with Traveler's, coincidentally.

Depends on the mileage, but the airbags alone will probably run well north of $5,000-$6,000. If any frame damage, it’s toast.

Didn't look like any frame damage and car worth about $27-28k.

Some companies are quick to total and low ball you on the settlement. But as others said, it looks to be totaled anyway.
No connection with them.

My kid's car was much worse and air bags deployed. State Farm didn't want to total. Has to be 70% of value. His car had over $25K damage before they even tore it down to assess frame damage. They were saying the car was still worth what I paid for it a year and a half earlier, so no 70%. Had to fight with them for weeks, then when I threatened to sue they finally relented.

Gonna be hard to tell about the frame until all of the damaged parts are removed so you can actually see the frame rails. There’s also likely a good bit of damage to the radiator, condenser, trans cooler, etc. That can really run up the bill.

Damn. Everyone is saying totalled and I'm not refuting but looks like about 8-9k worth of damage. My wife (no pics) is an expert at crashing up vehicles

Pray for a total - WHY?

1. Repairs will never make this car like new!
2. Paint will never match
3. CarFax will ALWAYS say major crash
4. Depreciation is 20-30% of a non - wrecked vehicle
5. Manufacturer Warranty will not cover anything related to the repairs - EVER
6. Take my advice 27 years car management
Cheers

My info is the truth - not a O-T Lounge opinion - I live in the real world of the car business.

For what? Car is paid for. I also have three other vehicles, and can pay cash if desired for a replacement, so insurance can't push me to settle.
