Traveling to El Salvador sounds awful. I can see mountains and beaches in the US and or Mexico.
It’s not worth the pain the arse that traveling encompasses.

Of course, you are correct. BA is across the water not Rio.
I have only stayed at a resort, which like the Pedregal in Cabo is probably a protected money maker.
I know several people from the triangle region, however, and they all say don't even think about it.
Think I'll check out our national parks for a while.

I've always wondered why there isn't an American free trade zone including all of North and South America. Anyone ought to be able to go anywhere in North or South America, work, pay taxes, and all goods/services exchanged without tariffs. Hate reliance on Asia? This is an easy answer.
Would have to either eliminate the cartels or somehow make a deal with them to contain the violence within their organization and stop pressuring people to work for them when they don’t want to. People don’t freely travel all over many of these nations due to this
Drive a 100k dollar F250 across the border through center of Mexico and see how long it takes to either get shot up by cartels who think you’re a rival (because only ones who drive those nice vehicles there are cartel members) or the Federales pull you over and demand a bribe or they’ll confiscate your vehicle.
Too much corruption in many of these countries to have a EU type of system

Are yall really worried about MS13? They work under the cartels. The cartels dont want trouble.
