I know people that are still alive in their 70's and they smoked 1-2 packs per day.

It's all about increased risk. Sure, if you want to focus on one or two people who didn't develop heart disease, emphysema, hypertension, cancer, etc, you can convince yourself bad things won't happen, but statistics on incidence don't paint a rosy picture.

What about people that smoke a pack a week? I don't see how 20 cigarettes in 7 days can be that bad for you. Like people who smoke only when they drink.

Just quit.

I started when I was 16 and quit at 24 cold turkey. It was easy. It's not worth it. Once I quit, i figured out that all it did was make me feel like shite.

I finished a can in about 8 awake hours between last night and today. I get about 5 pinches out of a can now, and I probably only keep it in 30 minutes each. You got to look at time with dip in, not how much.

The only time I don't have a dip is while I'm sleeping and while I'm eating

I get about 7-8 pinches a can. I'll get them in for as long as 2-3 hrs sometimes

Maybe is the answer.

You certainly are at an increased risk of head and neck cancers compared to those who don't.

Could you continue and never get cancer? sure. You could also quit and still be at increased risk of cancer compared to those who never did it.

Head and neck cancer sucks. I see it a lot. The surgeries for advanced cases can be disfiguring and life altering in terms of function. We attempt to rebuild and provide some form of function back to those who have part of their jaw, face, tongue, etc. removed.

If it were me, I would minimized the risk of this ever happening.

I see pictures of that stuff all the time but I've never seen anyone IRL without a jaw or any other facial problems

I know it exists I've just never seen it in person...do these people just become hermits because they are disfigured?
