I take it as she pays attention to what I normally wear and knows what I'll be comfortable in for the trip. Plus it's a wake up call to her on how nuts she drives herself on what to pack/wear.
She's cut down on 4 bags for a 3-day trip to 2 bags. I've noticed.

My wife packs my bag because she a good woman and she knows what I like to wear and when I should wear it.
It's not that big of a deal. Packing underwear, socks, shirts, shorts/pants is not that complicated. I don't see why your wife can't handle it.

My wife packs my bag because I have work clothes, other work clothes, and a few pairs of pants, shorts, shirts, etc.
She can't pack it wrong because I don't have a bunch of needless clothes.
