Ah, gotcha. Thanks. I went back to read your post when I was replied before but it had already been edited so I wasn't sure what was going on with reference to the potential RO against the brother from before her death.
The STPSO press conference should be interesting. I wonder how they will try to spin it this time. Bottom line, if your office doesn't "necessarily believe" that it is a homicide after 3 autopsies then perhaps they can take their disinterested selves off the case and give it to REAL law enforcement professionals who do care about justice.
Oh but that might just make them look bad and implicate those that they would rather cover for. As it is they already look pretty stupid and lazy. Let's see if the double down on their stupidity tomorrow.

They are also going to court in the morning to make sure that the STPSO does not throw away any evidence or anything relating to the investigation of the crime. Sad that a family has to go to court to these lengths to get the Sherrrif to do his job.
As for his "don't necessarily agree" with it being a homicide - i can't say it any better than this post from the comment section on Nola

I'm gonna go with the coroner on this one.....

I can't find the FB account of the "suspected" girlfriend. We looked at it a while back. Did she take it down?

"He said he feels the investigation has taken too long, noting that it will be nine weeks Friday since her death. “I believe in time that they will figure out who did this, because I don’t believe people can be quiet forever,” he said." WOW.. so he's saying now he believes it was murder?

yes, it looks like she took it down or went private. She had also posted about a stressful month while posing with a wineglass or some BS.
Well lil Ms Buttercup better buckle up cause I think it is REALLY about to shift into gear now that the homicide had been conclusively established by 3 autopsies. She's about to have the light shined on her because as this investigation goes on it WILL delve into stevieboy's activities with the FD and I'm just betting that there will be some sort of financial shenanigans that SHE (as comptroller) is sure to be asked about.

But still nothing really wrong with that, seeing as her name is openly being bandied about in numerous comment sections and forums. Nanette obviously thought of Ms Buttercup as a friend since the last comment I saw on Buttercup's page was a sweet comment from Nanette to her on the 12th. I'd be stressed to if a dear friend had died.
Now whether Buttercup was really a true friend or was sneaking around with slippery steve on the side, I can't say for sure. Honestly, i would be happy to be proven wrong and have someone prove Buttercup was not involved with steve. I hate to see him bring down yet another person into his long line of people he has crapped on.
But as for steve and his lil bro... well as y'all can see, I have been pretty open with my feelings about them and have found ample evidence of lil bro being a frequent flier is the ST Slammany DUI dept (4 times at least) plus other assorted crimes - and the indication that Nanette did not like this lil bro so much that she wanted a restraining order (or so i hear - No "proof" yet of that though but give me time, lol)
Maybe if Sherrif Randy Smith could do his job, my lil ginger arse wouldn't be such a lil busybody and crap-stirrer and posting my thoughts so that Nanette's case (and the STPSO) stays in the public eye.
Oh lord, now look what happened, i am on a roll again.
ETA: I wasn;t going off on you. That's just me being me,lol. I am just annoyed by the STPSO and the f*ckery going on with them and others.

Hmm, google is indeed our friend. Very interesting. I can imagine he might not be too happy about the wake being cause in his life by ole slippery steve and his shady ways.

A small point, but...
The coroner's office had two pathologists conduct autopsies out of, for lack of a better term, an abundance of caution. Preston's office determined the manner of death was homicide, cause was gunshot wound.
The independent pathologist has conducted an autopsy, but I'm not sure if he/she has issued their report yet. I do not believe Dr. Preston is privy to these autopsy results, as of yet.

Indeed!
It is very interesting and hopefully a good thing.
All I really want is Justice for Nanette and her loved ones. She has been on my mind so much these past few days and I spent last night writing up some stuff for her case to try and get more public support for it.
Then i wake up this morning to see that the coroner is very certain this was a homicide. So I had that brief second of happiness. Then sadness because how sad is it that we are happy that a coroner ruled that someone was murdered. And that a woman who has been thru being murdered, burned and thru THREE autopsies... then the sheriff still says he isn't quite a that she was killed.
It just gets me riled up as you can see.

I agree ??
Nan deserves justice! His story/tune is different now and he gave a public interview.. Her Facebook literally has writings on the wall! It's clear things were going on; she knew and "lost trust". She later thanked her real friends and was deceased a week later.. c'mon.. STPSO! I had high hopes.. ????

I didn't see those things on her page. Not sure why. i am not her FB friend or possibly not even a friend of her friend.
To me it looks all ok except for her sadness over a pets death 2 years ago and her many posts about pets and animals which makes me even more sure that she would have NEVER killed herself and let her pets die an awful death
I was just going off of the last post i could see on buttercup's page that Nan was still friendly with her on July 12 so i assumed she didn't know anything about any dalliance with her and steve.
