So you filmed the reaction of all the dudes that saw your penis and made a gif out of it? That's creepy.

I don't work for big pharm man. Nor do I know where generic drugs are made. Could be Iowa for all I know. I just wanted to open up the discussion and alert people to the potential for inadvertently funding Isis.

So who's not to say by purchasing drugs from big pharma, you're inadvertently funding isis? You probably don't know where all their drugs are made either.

Wrong.....

Most generics are made by the same companies making the non-generics.

This... mother works for Abbvie, they not only make their name brand medicines but produce the comparable generic product as well. She's told me many of times to stick to generics it's the same drug. You're not finding isis by saving money lol.

It don't matter either way

OPTION A:
American Cash -> generic drugs -> ISIS

OPTION B:
American Cash -> name brand drugs -> big pharma -> American Gov -> ISIS

looks like the cash flow always winds up in the same place anyway.. may as well buy cheap drugs so they get LESS money

The FDA requires generics work 80% as good as name brand. However, some just don't compare. Lyrica for instance is miles and miles better than gabapentin. But for the majority of drugs it's does not matter.

As far as production, the cost is in the research and development. It costs about $0.04 per pill to make all drugs, aspirin or Zetia or ambien etc

Well, gabapentin isn't generic Lyrica. It's generic Neurotonin. Lyrica is a whole different drug, pregabalin.

As for generic vs. Name Brand OTC, I've been trying to convince my mother of this for years. Tylenol works... for some reason, acetaminophen doesn't work nearly as well for her. Go figure. Same with Tagamet. Tagamet works, but cimetidine doesn't.

I'm like... Mom.. it's the same dang stuff. Exactly the same. Her response: No, it's not. That Kroger brand stuff just doesn't work.

Whatever.
