ESPN, ESPN2, SEC Network and ESPN U. Then there is NBC sports, CBS sports

DirectTV Now has all this but CBS Sports. The problem with DirectTV Now is that you can only have 2 streams going at once, so that is a problem for a lot of people.

Yea frick that. One good thing about Cox Cable is you can share the shite out of credentials and stream all over the place in their market.... for now.

and that $54 price for $50mbs from Cox is a promotion. I have it till June then it's back to $74. frickin Cox internet is expensive and it's very inconsistent in BR.

Depending on where you lived you could be charged with long distance with calling someone who lived 5-10 minutes from you with Bell

Not so much anymore. People do have other options.

No they don't. I paid $39 for 50 Mbps from cox in 2013 and today I pay $53 (promotional price, regular $63) for 15 Mbps. Cox realizes our only other option in many areas of Baton Rouge is to just not have internet.

I'm paying $79 with Cox for 150Mbit. Now I do have to say I've only had two outages in the last 12 months and I'm actually getting 180-195Mbit around the clock, so it's not completely unreasonable. I'm more pissed about how expensive TV is, I keep telling myself to cut it next month.

I think they probably front load a lot of funds for their customer service centers in New Orleans. Their New Orleans based customer service centers are just excellent...

I pay $84.99 for the preferred internet package and that's all I have from Cox. I average 900 or so GB of use per month and have gone over 1 TB fairly often lately. I'm obviously a heavy user. If you haven't cut the cord, there is really no need for the premier level service or higher.

Cox is the only option for very high bandwidth where I live. U-Verse tops out at 50 Mbps. Cox goes up to 300.

Cox knows this, and if you go higher than 50 Mbps, they slip it in dry while stroking your hair and whispering, "Shhhhh" in your ear.
