Why is it that even when I win an argument with my wife I feel like I’ve lost?

Got out of going to her high school reunion when I explained to her I’m not going to enjoy myself and I don’t know anyone who will be there, but it seems like it’s the calm before a storm. She hasn’t spoken to me in about 30 minutes and seems to be sulking and brooding
For those saying I should just suck it up and go, I would if I was just planning to sit at the house by myself, but instead I am choosing to golf with friends of mine from college I actually know and like.

For starters- this seems like it shouldn't be about you. and who cares if you're not comfortable for a few hours. Just make small talk and allow your wife to catch up with some old hs friends. and honestly, she may be nervous about going to her HS reunion and really wanted you to be there with her to help her feel more comfortable.
I think you ATA here and you should suck it up, go apologize and go with her to the reunion.

In all sincerity, you didn't "win". You just got your way and actually lost that one. Go with her bc that's what husbands do. You never know who you'll meet and what connections could be made.
