I went low carb diet two weeks ago. It’s really not difficult to give up sugar and junk. People are just lazy dumb fat tards.

I find going really low carb is easier for me than just trying to cut calories etc. So much easier to cheat on a regular diet. I know if, once i'm in ketosis, I cheat and Ive just screwed up a week or 2's work

I can afford all the things that I would have to give up...then I would have to see less of my friends in the very social scene that I do now. How do you enjoy tailgating for football searching for all the veggies plates?

Eat something before you leave the house.
Allow yourself to just enjoy much smaller portions of the food you like at the tailgate.
Switch to liquor instead of beer.

I'm skinny. I get drunk 1-2 nights a week and just ate nachos and buffalo wings for lunch.

It's called balance.

You enjoy yourself 1-2 days a week, you are strict the rest.

Also - Going to dinner with friends is fun because of the people you're with. Eating a salad or eating pizza won't change the good time you have with people you love. I've never ordered a healthier option and regretting it.

ALSO ALSO - Learn about calories. A lot of surprising stuff is lower cal than you think. You can enjoy that hamburger. Just get veggies instead of fries.

FOR YOU

You don't have to give up certain foods to lose weight. You just have to consume less calories than you burn.

Because most people are lazy and prone to making excuses

Also most doctors are prone to diagnosing them with some issue that “prevents” them from losing weight, when in reality they are just hopeless fat fricks that will always be fat

I'm trying to stay to no more than 1200 calories a day. Allow myself a cheat day once a week(course..my probelm is that sometimes turns into 2). Exercise when I can.

Although what I'm reading for what I have...exercising too much can cause my body to release too much cortisol which would result in me not losing much weight. Supposedly I should do some strength training and shorter bouts of HIIT cardio.

ETA: I might have to change the calories to 1000-1100 max.

I hear this is awesome for physique. I've never worked out in a gym though and I'm so scared to look like a loser I used to jog 3-4 miles a day - need to pick it back up.

You know how short I am. :( Sadly, that really affects the calorie allowance.

But I've maintained for exactly a year this month, so I'm glad at that. You used to tell me all the time to just wait and it would catch up. And I was like no no no . Well you were right.

It did.

Good friend was just told she has this, and she's having the hardest time :( I've read up on it. Saw how difficult losing weight is.

Sign up for Beachbody OnDemand. You can access it from any laptop, roku, amazon fire, phone, etc.

It's $100 a year and you have access to every single beachbody program out there. Many of them you only use your body weight or some dumbbells. Very easy to do in your home and don't have to worry about feeling intimidated at the gym.

No its not. Chicken and turkey are two of the cheapest cuts of meat you can buy and $1 of broccoli is a meal. You can eat 2 meals for $5 easily. shite, I eat salmon all the time, which is expensive as far as meat goes and an $18 slab makes 3-4 servings. Still less than McDonald's, but keep making excuses.

I can easily survive on about 30 dollars in groceries a week if I plan ahead and stick to just the grocery list.

I recently spent 28 dollars on a grocery run Sunday evening and was still eating off of that 9 days later.

Eating healthy can be relatively cheap. It just takes some work and long term planning. Those attributes aren't exactly the strong traits of the poor

This is the biggest problem. Eating healthy for cheap requires cooking your own food. This takes time and people are lazy.

If you want healthy and easy you start paying a price for it.

If you want easy and cheap you are going to be choosing off the 79, 89, 99 c menu at Taco Bell which is not healthy in any way.

Is your friend on the pill? If not, she should ask her doctor if it would help her. It's what kept me from having any PCOS issues. That's why I didn't know I had it until I got off the pill to start trying for a baby.

Metformin is another med she can look into(cause of the insulin resistance many with PCOS have).

I'm getting back on the pill as soon as I'm done with IVF and either have a baby...or don't.

Go with a friend first until you’re comfortable. A class would probably be better to start

She could also pay for a few personal training sessions. Just so they could show her how to use all the equipment properly until she feels comfortable on her own.
