Drinking a bourbon with my 3 year old watching some paw patrol. Does that count as not alone?

Did you give your 3 year old a sip? Because you're a dick if you didn't.

There's nothing wrong with it if it's a few.

I used to have a few with my husband, and then he'd drink six or more alone after that after I went to bed. Then, I started working on my master's degree, and he just drank alone and wouldn't even know that I'd gone to bed.

Thankfully, he recognized the problem and got help. He's sober, with miles behind him. Do what makes you happy when you're alone unless it becomes a problem for managing your life.

Better question, if you’re drinking alone, who is there to frown upon you?

I bought wine after work specifically to drink alone right now. It’s been a long week.

Instead schools should tell the truth. That snorting a line of heroin isn't going kill you or make you lose your mind, and most people will enjoy the way it feels. But then explain the reality of addiction to them and what addiction leads to. Explain why opiates are easier to get addicted to than cocaine, explain why opiate addiction is so much harder to beat. Explain the long term health effects. Explain how most people who OD are long time users who feel safer, or addicts who are relapsing.

Wait so your solution to the opioid problem is to encourage kids to try heroin?

I would think it's better to get drunk alone so that you don't bother other people

Not that it always means this, but it does suggest a dependence.

A couple of beers by yourself while watching a football game on a weekend suggests dependence? A glass or two of wine at home alone with dinner suggests dependence? LOL wut
