China and Russia are ignoring the lessons learned though, but they’ll suffer the same fate in Africa
China's approach to Africa is quite different from the West's.
The West wanted to export culture, infrastructure, education, language, and religion. Africa rejected nearly all of it.
The Chinese just want resources, and DGAF about the rest. They don't have any desire to create a pan-Chinese empire, unlike the French/Germans/English. They'll just payoff the right warlords for access to magic dirt, and allow everyone to keep killing themselves. They won't get ensnared like the West did.

South Africa is basically a failed State.

Since the advent of democracy in 1994, the ruling African National Congress perpetuated that situation by rejecting job-intensive growth policies and instead raising wages and subsidizing the poor through welfare, Eunomix said.
While less than a quarter of the population is in work, South Africa’s wage bill as a percentage of gross domestic product significantly exceeds that of countries such as India, Thailand and the Philippines.

All South Africa cares about is killing all the white people in their own country

It’ll happen sooner or later. Nigeria is already the largest economy on the continent and their population is about to explode

Just seems like in 100 years those places will be controlled by the major world powers. They will have to go somewhere to get the resources.
In 100 years?
That's been the entire story of Africa for the past 400 years or so.
