It seems that New Orleans would be a great city to host the Summer Olympics.. especially with the weather.

That’s one of the most stupid ideas I’ve ever read on here.

The games can be in October. That's one of the easiest problems to solve.

Biggest obstacle is where to put the natatorium and where to hold the cycling events.

Soccer will be tricky since there aren't enough venues for all the games. Yulman won't work for soccer which is why Tulane doesn't have a team. Gormley and PanAm are way short of being up to Olympic standards and won't have enough users afterward to justify the expense.

Tiger Stadium could be permanently reconfigured for soccer

Hosting a event like this would bankrupt the state far worse than anything you can imagine. Go online and look at all of the abandoned Olympic facilities around the world and tell me how you think that would be a good thing for Louisiana.

I just figured that the city had plenty of money to spend $8 million on a hair pick statue so I just assumed the city and state were loaded with unlimited amounts of money coming out of their assholes.

Seriously, the city, mayor, NOPD and plenty suck about Nola, but stop spreading BS.
The hair pick was stupid and embarrassing, but it was part of a one month traveling art exhibit. It didn’t cost $8 million. LOL
