Have you ever noticed how those new ships are flagged?

Thanks to the 80's "Greed is Good" mantra vast majority of global shipping no longer has US registration or flies US flag.

Paint in general is as big of a deal if not a bigger deal than the rest of the building process. Painting a ship is a Fn problem. I'm not well versed on the differences between what we have to do here vs what Asia and India can get away with. I've just been told they can use the good shite, and they can do it however the hell they want.

That is fricking crazy, it must be something with off gassing because liquid containment in a dry dock scenario isn't that hard to do.
