No downvotes! Unprecedented! My dad kept empty water jugs for this very reason. I remember him filling them up a few times before a big storm was about to hit.

100 gallons of water in a bladder in the tub. It doesn't get any easier than this.

Water outages can occur when the lines get compromised during heavy storms.
Saving up on tap water in tubs and sinks before hand isn't about drinking unless you have a way to boil. It's about being able to flush.
But you'd know that if you weren't Rush Limbaugh trying to make dollars out of whine.

Which microbes and algae can grow in if left unsealed. You can prevent this by putting a small amount of chlorine in the water.

Without even being a doomsday prepper, I've got the following items in my house I could stick under a faucet and fill and have enough drinking water post-storm: gallon milk jugs (pour out unused milk and wash, fill with water), pitchers, thermos bottles, sports bottles, numerous other containers that seal and/or close.
Unless this storm renders the area into a moonscape (at which point I'm not sure why I would hang around afterwards), I think I could manage just fine on the water front without resorting to hand-to-hand combat in order to buy some Dasani.

A couple of drops of bleach in each water container, and you're good to go.
