freedom has a lot to do with that also
freedom breeds inequality
there are tons of policies in Europe that would be anti-freedom but likely would help things out. their educational stratification is VERY needed in the US but it would be illegal and racist if implemented here.

And die in debt
That would be the optimum strategy, use cheap money paying only interest to create a comfortable life style, and leave the lenders holding the debt after you are gone gone.

Define assets? They have better healthcare. My paychecks in Europe were segmented, so I knew exactly where my tax dollars were going. I don't think the US would like the public be reminded how much we spend on hellfire missiles and more military bases than the mind can comprehend, which is irrelevant since the death of conventional warfare. GDP per capita? What's western Europe's GDP per capita, that's more of a fair comparison considering most of eastern Europe is still developing.

Because the reason European nations can afford to pay for that health care and all of their other entitlement programs is because they don’t pay for all of those hellfire missiles and bases. Why doesn’t Europe pay for those missiles and bases? Because we do it for them. The United States has been the de facto military for Western Europe for the past 75 years. The United States is responsible for virtually all of the R&D in nearly every field from medicine to aviation to energy. Europe has ridden Americas coattails for generations. If we left them to their own devices they’d have to start paying for all that shite themselves. Which of course they’d quickly just turn on each other and try to destroy themselves again.

Not quite, historian. We can argue all day.
No, there's no argument at all. Nothing to argue about. If they had to pay for their own defense, they'd never be able to afford these "wonderful" social programs.

The EU does't need US defenses anymore. With MIRV warheads, ICBMs are impossible to block. There's no reason to have military bases in Europe other than to guard US strategic resources, defense contracts, and alliances

You all need to look through my post history and start adding quotes in your signature bar.

Work Environment...sure, I guess.
Of course if you’re a lazy laid back mofo with no ambition... its a different story. To each their own.

quote:Gee wonder why that would be? Good thing we don’t have to compete with alll the free market healthcare in Europe.
Now healthcare companies are forced to restructure and merge, making it even less competitive
Leftists keep telling us a 100% monopoly is the cure for expensive healthcare. They should be happy with our market consolidations.

I don’t think he understands debt is subtractive of assets.

You can find fault anywhere sure but I said I like the Spanish culture. Its also easy and cheap to retire there.
But you go with your blind nationalism.
