The cold hard truth:

Hitler tried to genocide a race of people to death and conquer civilized Europe. He attacked countries that people care about and killed people that people care about. He faught a war against France and England and America and tried to kill the Jews. He was also a ruthless genius when it came to mass brainwashing and rallies.

He and his 1940s Germany including his advisory board represent the absolute pinnacle of the human ability for evil. Cunning, brutal, sociopathic, brilliant machine of perfect death.

Stalin killed a majority of Russian and Eastern European peasants that no one cares about and he was technically on the winning side of the war and didn't actively fight western Europe and America.

Not really. Quite clearly Hitler didn't seek another world war and desperately wanted to avert any outbreak of hostilities with Britain or France, but time and time again Hitler was more than willing to risk war to achieve his geopolitical ambitions. To suggest otherwise is beyond ignorant and delusional.

The ultimate outbreak of war with Poland stemmed from Germany's desire to bring Danzig back into the Reich and to establish a land highway in which Germany could exercise free flow of personnel and goods to and from East Prussia (possibly with the ultimate aim of reincorporating all of the Polish corridor in time). That was the primary geopolitical issue that created the source of conflict between Germany and Poland in 1939. If Hitler desperately wanted to avoid war, he could have held off on acting militarily against Poland. This issue was NOT of urgent national security. Hitler gambled again and this time the British and French had no choice but to call him on it, as the British had already made public commitments to come to Poland's aid (which was stupid of them).

And Hitler took very similar gambles over the Austrian issue in March and the Czech crisis in September of 1938.

While not seeking a military clash with Britain and France, Hitler was far from doing "everything he could to prevent war."
