re: Why Do We Hate Taylor Swift Again?

Pop music isn't for me, but she is incredibly bland and boring in her music. I tried listening to her top 5 songs on Spotify the other day and it sounded like stuff a hormonal and insecure 13 year old girl would write. Her political views suck but seem largely insincere and shallow like her music... I remember getting the sense 5 or so years ago she wasn't viewed as politically active enough so she seems to have gotten in line on that. Also something about her and her fans in general is annoying, but previously you could ignore it and forget about it. Now, the oversatuation has crossed a line culturally by infiltrating football games, a bridge too far.

I will say it could be worse and she could be a trashy influence on kids.

They are both successful and worked hard for everything that brought them that success. I respect the frick out of that and could give a shite regarding their political beliefs.

I dont hate her. I have no feelings at all toward her In fact, I was at her first concert tour with Rascal Flats. She was completely plastic. Rumors back then was she followed the Garth Brooks path to success, and had her stock broker dad buy enough albums to get her on the charts

Since then its been nothing but targeted marketing to brainless teenage girls. And now the adults in the room have to be inundated with her
