One of the biggest elements is total freedom of speech, even if it's offensive. Never before has freedom of speech been guaranteed by law. The USA is still really the only country that guarantees it, and it's currently being put to the test. Left wing activists use it every day to shite on the country while trying to curtail it when it comes to things they disagree with.
