Because it "empowers" them.

It's a good way to spot the crazies.

Innate behavior to signal to men that they want YOU to make them a sandwich

If they have short hair and a hyphenated last name, I just steer clear because you know the crazy is strong with them

I'm fine with it. Let's me know which women don't care what they look like. It may be just the hair now, but in a few years it'll be everything else.

Once in a while it looks cute. But it takes a little Woman with a little face. Like Audrey Hepburn.

My mother in law has a short haircut. She had long hair for years and just got tired of the hassle. She's a business owner and is constantly busy so she just wanted something that required less maintenance. My wife was shocked when she cut it off.

Lots of women look good with short hair, although I'm personally not into it.

probably knocks an hour off the time it takes them to get ready to leave the house.

women have to be very pretty to pull it off, though.

Yeah I can't imagine having to deal with makeup and long hair every morning.

I likes what I likes though so I don't mind helping a little more in the morning with lunches and getting kids ready so she can keep it long enough for a ponytail.
