I mean once they reach a certain age, most will have a few skeletons in the closet.
It's the ones with skeletons in the closet and lounging all over the living room you better watch out for...

One of my sons met one such beautiful girl. She had it all but the past kept sneaking in between them. She would not trust him because a former dude cheated on her. Another former dude may have smacked her around. Another may have been a liar. She had to know where he was at all times. When the list was exposed a bit at a time he realized it was time to move on.

If at all possible, they have already established the new relationship before they end the current relationship, so, you are correct. They don't spend time being single if that is at all possible.
