They'll stop tasting bad when you stop the meds. The idea is to give you enough time to break the nicotine addiction. Good luck man. It's a terrible habit that you should absolutely break.

BIL smoked like a fiend. Doc said quit or die. He quit and started Vaping. Now has COPD And has bouts of shortness of breath and needs to be hauled off via ambulance to the hospital for treatment. Maybe he quits now.

None of that happened to me and it worked well. I just drank too much at the time and easily slipped back into smoking once the meds were gone.

I powered through it for three months. Chantix fricking works if you just stick with it. After about a month, urges were gone and I was just taking it because my doctor did a very good job of stressing that the chances of relapse drastically drop if you finish the whole course of treatment.

That and the free fricked up movies every morning.

It works, though, if you're serious about quitting.

I’ve often wondered how people say nicotine is more addictive than heroin yet some people, including myself, can never think about one except for wanting one while drinking/drunk or in certain social situations ie drinking/socializing at a party and someone is smoking. I go weeks without smoking or thinking about it and sometimes I’ll have a couple of drinks and want one. Is this odd?
