That's not a deflection. It's a concrete example of when you were wrong and I was right. That is something you said I have never done, which again, is wrong. That particular time I posted a link to I believe a UCLA published article that explained the use of the comma.

I think you misunderstand the term "deflection."

It was an unnecessary comma for the thought you were trying to convey. Melt more about it though.

Diamonds I agree, but some people just really like cars. I'm not a car person, but I know some people who are.

This is actually more true with low earners. That's why this is an odd angle to take with regard to spending on luxuries.

Those with higher income have greater liquidity when you compare across income brackets.

Of course, but you would expect that from groups on the lower end of the pay scale.

People typically don’t expect a household with two engineers to be over leveraged and broke. But it happens, and I think it helps to highlight this because it shows that when people have money problems, it’s usually more of a spending problem than an income problem.

Unnecessary does not equal incorrect. Again, proving you low mental capacity.

It feels like everyone in this thread is arguing different things.

Diamonds are an easy target because they have become synonymous with opulence.

Expensive cars are an easy target because a lot of people are happy with (or think they are happy with) their cheaper model car i.e. "I don't need all the bells and whistles of the $80K SUV, I'm happy with my $30K SUV".

Travel ball is pretty universally hated here. Other than that don't know enough about it to comment

Of course the problem is one of money management. I don't think we actually disagree on much here. I just think the thread veered in a strange direction when we started discussing high income brackets as being unusually burdened with debt and poor money management issues.

So now the goal post is moved to them doing good in the world?

It's not showing off if it's the only life I know. It's just called living, my dude.

Still nothing of substance. I bet your most advanced skill is velcroing your own shoes before going to drop fries.

You've said a whole lot of nothing in this thread. It's literally all you do.

Arguably better than proving your stupidity like you did here and in every other thread you post in Donny.

You seem to take everything to extremes. It's just being stated that people with high incomes are likely to end up in financial trouble if their spending keeps pace with increases in income. You'll find this with oilfield baws or attorneys.

You've yet to prove anything other than your ability to post a bunch of typos.

Was my comma correct or not? Remember as I explained to you earlier incorrect and unnecessary do not mean the same thing. TIA, hope it doesn't take you all day.
