Because it’s hot and when you wear a shirt it gets soaking wet within a few hours. Ever swim with a T-Shirt on? It’s uncomfortable AF.

I worked construction while in college.
It was shorts/boots/ball cap and shades all day
My arse would pass out after about 45 minutes of that now.

Is this topic a joke? I will literally never work outside with a shirt on, ever. I’ll even go so far as to burn my skin to a crisp, because I know I’ll get a great tan out of it eventually after the stinging wears off the next day , and still have the satisfaction of knowing that I didn’t wear some shirt while working outside

That's all my paw paw would wear. Middle of August and he'd be working out in the field dressed just like this.

Maybe so. He lived to be almost 100 and he ate bacon, eggs and fried something almost every day. He was very physically active though.
