I drive a Silverado and it happened to me. I had to replace my evaporator sensor. It's fairly simple. There are youtube videos on how to do it. Part is about $50.

I leave gas stations with slow pumps. There is one a half mile from my house that I don't go to because of that. To make it worse, that station cuts off the gas at $75, so I've got to do it twice to get enough to justify filling up. I'm not gonna sit there for 15 minutes filling up.
When I had a diesel, I'd always go to the truck stop pumps. They roll like 50gpm

If I have some fuel in there already, it won't squirts out immediately. I have to baby it for the first 3 or so gallons and then go wide open. I have an aftermarket tank, so I have no idea where empty actually is. I've driven 80 miles with the light on before
