What will be funny is if the area ever starts to make a comeback, the roar of complaints about increased housing costs due to gentrification and the locals being pushed out will be amusing to see.

Exactly, they bitch and moan because nobody will invest in NBR and if people did and costs went up they would bitch and moan about the costs.

Theoretically I suppose that's possible but it would require a change in culture and behavior. Stop having kids out of wedlock, put more emphasis on education and self sufficiency, remove criminals from the streets etc. I don't know how this could be accomplished

As true as this is, they truly just don’t ‘get it’. Do you ever read the FB comments under news articles? It’s baffling how black people blindy support other blacks regardless of the amount of evidence against them. I don’t know a single white person that thinks Alton Sterling was just an innocent father trying to make an honest living selling cd’s until the evil police showed up and murdered him in cold blood. Not one single informed white person. Yet, the internet is full of black props from all walks of life that truly believe that. They believe 100% that’s he was a great guy, doing the right thing and getting murdered for it. I often wonder if they’re truly that ignorant and blind or if deep inside they know he was a piece of shite, but believe that have to support him because he’s black and they have to stick together. Which is it? If they’re truly that far gone, I don’t think it’s possible to ever have them think in a civilized manner.

Definitely. Even today with the Trudy White news I just did a quick skim on the local channel’s fb post. 100% of comments by blacks were in support of her with about 3/4 of them bringing up race some kind of way. To borrow a term from KB, the are LITERARY blinded by race and nothing else.

The irony is that Judy White’s rulings harm the shite out of that community.

Unfortunately I think it's the latter. It's similar to the OJ verdict. The truth doesn't really matter anymore, only which side they identify with.

And that’s my point. Their thinking is destroying their own community and the cycles gets worse and worse. This downward spiral is not going to change course due to a couple of government funded programs or a church getting involved with the community. The future is bleak.

Just tell everyone you’ll call the new North BR Wakanda and make all the school mascots Black Panthers. They’ll vote for approval en masse.

Because they don't want to work. Pretty simple. Generations of hand outs has created fat and lazy people.

Because the "leaders" know exactly how that would turn out. They will never admit it, but they know. Same reason they don't want St George to form, they know it will hurt NBR because they can't survive on their own.

The irony is that North BR would have total control over their own city and how their money is spent. In the long run they would be better off.

I have told a few people in discussions about the state of BR that if you could fence off NBR, within a few years it would resemble the scenes in The Walking Dead where the zombies are clawing at the fences.

I think city should seprerate. And that St George should be created.

Merging with St. George as a separate city would be good.
