My prayers have been answered.

Because God wants me to be happy. Not sure why he has blessed me but I'm one lucky son of a bitch. Great wife, kids, job.

I'm also happy I'm not fat and can pretty much eat and drink whatever I want.

You're a good man, SS. I am sure that your Mom and Brother know that. I wish you the best, bouncing back from your past mistakes. We all make them.

Oh, and thanks for following the Gaels. You can catch them in the MAAC Championship game tomorrow night @ 9:00 (eastern) on ESPN2. They knocked down 19 3s in their semifinal win today.

Manhattan is leading in the other semifinal game and it looks like another Iona/Manhattan Championship game. We have split the last 2 and Manhattan is the defending champ. We are the #1 seed, but the #1 seed hasn't won the MAAC Tourney since 2010. Time to change that. Go Gaels!!!

I'm blessed because my sins have been washed away by the blood Jesus shed on the cross. Have you been "washed' in the blood of the Lamb of God? If not, read John 3:16 in the bible.

I'm replying to the question asked by the poster.
No need to start a rant about "Get that religious **** off of here."

I have:
A job that provides all of my needs and many of my wants.
A wonderful wife that shares my beliefs in most areas that are important.
Three great children that are well on their way to good jobs and financial independence.
Parents that have lived long enough to continue to watch their grandchildren grow up.

Great thread. Kudos to OP and OT in general. I use to have a pretty serious drug problem, selling and using. Hung out with some bad dudes, some in Angola, some in the grave. ODed twice. Got connected with church and life has since turned around 180.

I am blessed because of:
Family/friends
House
Truck
6-pack
Education
And job, which must be explained in this thread. I get paid well (enough) to spend my day looking for at-risk kids in the 70805 and surrounding areas. We help them find housing, education and jobs. It is unbelievably fulfilling. I still have problems I could complain about, but overall I am incredibly blessed!

Retired, solid income, no debt, 10 beautiful grandkids, good health, wife who loves me.
It just doesn't get any better than that.

Got a decent job and no debt. No major health issues. Can't complain too much, could use a new slampiece though
