re: Why are there so few regular cab trucks anymore?

Wouldn’t want a single cab now but my first three trucks were single cab and I loved them.
I’d think a single cab with a top engine would be fun to drive. My 1999 F150 had the V6 which was so miserably sluggish.

No one wants a regular cab where there is no room inside for anything

If this vehicle is for a teenager then get an Extended Cab Tacoma and call it a day

Because they ride like shite with such a short wheelbase.

True but what are you supposed to do when you need a vehicle to carry more than 2 people? Go buy a new car? Rent a car for the day?

Why not? Every other organization seems to go out of their way to appease small minorities.

I packed 5 bodies in the cab of my ford ranger, i was 6-1 200lbs then baw. The overflow will ride in the back.

Because having a back seat adds a lot of use for the truck. To the point that it makes no sense to get a single cab at all.
Posted on 3/9/21 at 12:50 pm to Gaston
Because nobody wants to spend $25K on a vehicle that can only hold two people.
Posted on 3/9/21 at 12:52 pm to Gaston
Because no one likes busting their elbow on the back glass when resting their arm on the back of the seat.

Extended cab.
Take out the rear seat. Few bolts and it'll come out

Ride with those people instead.

Used to rock that single cab Ranger back in the day. Late grandpa passed it on to me when I turned 16. Nowadays the family double stroller is bigger than that truck was

Waaay back in the day... A single cab SWB GM with a 454 was pretty damn fast

Get you an F250 Kang Ranch and stop whining. Truck nuts are a necessity and put one of those punisher stickers on.

The vast majority of people don't want to have to rely on others or other modes of transportation when it's so much easier and convenient to just own a larger vehicle.

You aren't relying on them. You still have your truck. Throw em some cash
