That's probably more because of your balance/account history. Should clear next business day.

Yep, my wife still gets paper checks so she deposits electronically. A few hundred are available immediately and the rest is available the next day.

Maybe so. Online check deposits are awesome. It has pretty much saved me from ever having to go to a bank.

In fairness you have to fight traffic while everyone else is trying to run their errands.

Federal law requires $200 available immediately then the rest within 7 business days, but it's usually 1 if you have good standing.

I have a position in Schlumberger. It's not huge but I bought it in the low 40s thinking I'd collect the dividend and wait for it to go back up. I was already down 25% before today. Down an additional 30% today

I haven’t stepped foot inside a bank in over 15 years, and I’ve git two mortgages since then. They’re open 24/7 online and with other technologies like DocuSign, etc. why do I need to go in there?

I hate Citibank. 24 hour attention is horrendous. Was in a branch last week and they also got it firsthand. They go through the same incompetence internally. That’s all I have to add.

That happens to me all the time. I just use some of my other money while it processes.

Tried to deposit via chase app the other day. App said 5k limit. I thought we had deposited bigger checks online before. Going to the bank was a pita.
